fulcrum

a fulcrum, as I understand

is a point at which a tipping can take place

a point at which things are balanced

and can go one way or the other

so a fulcrum is a delicate place to stand

for a wrong word or action

could tip you off

never to go down the right side

for if you unbalance the wrong way

it will be almost impossible

to get back up again
